The California Press Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Internship Grant Program!

Up to seven outstanding student journalists will each receive a $3,000 grant to support an internship experience at a California news organization. In addition to grant funding, recipients gain access to mentorship, professional development and placement support through the California Press Foundation network.

Students are responsible for securing their own internship, which may take place during the spring, summer, or fall of 2026. Internships must be full-time for at least six weeks, though part-time placements can qualify if extended over a longer period.

To apply, submit your completed application by November 30, 2025. Finalists will be notified in late December 2025.
