Ready to take your campus coverage to the next level? 🚀
The California Press Foundation awards equipment grants to support student journalism programs across California.
These grants help student newsrooms obtain essential tools to produce quality journalism and strengthen student media programs.
Any California middle school, high school, community college, or university journalism program may apply. Applications must be submitted by the adviser overseeing the student news program.
Grants are limited to hardware and software used to produce journalism content (computers, cameras, audio equipment, design software, etc.).
There is no minimum grant amount. The maximum grant amount is $1,500. When reviewing applications, CPF may consider program need, student impact, program development and distribution of grant funding across schools statewide.
Applications must include itemized equipment requests with estimated prices, tax and shipping included.
