        Accepting Applications

        Apply by: May 1, 2025

      • Ready to upgrade your gear?

The California Press Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2025 Campus Equipment Grants program. Any California high school or college newsroom is eligible to apply. The application deadline is Thursday, May 1.

The grants go toward the purchase of new hardware or software, or for upgrades to improve the quality of the campus media program's content and delivery. Applicants must describe their current equipment, its limitations, why they need new or upgraded equipment and how that equipment would improve their publications. Applications must be overseen by the individual advising the news program.

There is no minimum grant amount. The maximum amount for a grant is $1,500. Winners will be notified by May 31 and sent their grant funds for immediate use.
